Sometimes It Happens by Karan Sharma

It has been a while since I read the original book It Happens by Karan and since then this book is a clear example of the improvement and progress his work has made. And no, this post isn’t going to be a comparison between the two.

With the beautiful cover, the book attracts you towards it as soon as you see it. Even though I’m not a fan of the romantic genre, this book’s essence was appealing to me. Sometimes I connect to Indian romance genre’s work, this time I did.

The narration and the story itself was well-paced to keep the readers hooked and I can’t remember finding any errors breaking that pace. Also, the characters in it were closer to real life thanks to the supporting back stories which were long enough to give information and not bore you.

The troubles in this love stories are the ones that you don’t usually expect when you pick up a book and seeing someone cover these sides as well, it’s a pure example of progress and expansion of Indian writing styles.

There were a few real-life references which you can totally relate to if you are a fan of Bollywood or at least, have a sense of today’s Indian society. In my case, it was more of the latter one. Though I don’t seem to be able to think of anyone with a similar story I can’t ignore that this is surely a plot that might happen every day yet go unnoticed in India.

Ready to make your weekend more interesting, this book is one that you can pick for a fresh love story that will leave you wondering and might take only a couple of sitting as in my case. You may order your copy here.
